Coachwood Timber Veneer

Coachwood Timber Veneer – Coachwood (Ceratopetalum apetalum) is a medium sized, straight growing Australian hardwood tree.  It is found in the coastal rainforests of northern New South Wales and southern Queensland.  It can reach a height of 25m.

You cannot always distinguish the heartwood of Coachwood from its sapwood.  Its colour ranges from pale pink to a pinkish-brown.  The grain of Coachwood timber veneer is usually straight and the texture is fine and even.

The wood of the Coachwood tree has a distinctive ‘caramel’ smell and is also known as Scented Satinwood.
