Jarrah Timber Veneer

Jarrah Timber Veneer – Jarrah (Eucalyptus marginata) is found in coastal regions in south-west Western Australia.  It grows to a height of around 45m with a stem diameter of up to 1.5m.

Jarrah is renowned for its rich red colour.  The heartwood colour ranges from a light red or brown to a darker brick red and tends to darken with exposure to light.  The thin sapwood is a pale yellow to pink colour.  Jarrah timber veneer is a good choice for contrasting wood with a lighter species.

The texture of Jarrah is moderately course and even.  The grain is fairly straight, but it can be figured with a combination of interlocked and wavy grain.
