The main feature of Qld Silky Oak is the grain structure. The heartwood colour is a light to medium reddish brown with grey to light brown rays. The Qld Silky Oak timber veneer texture is fairly coarse and the grain straight.

Also known as Southern Silky Oak, Silky Oak, Silver Oak, Lacewood or Australian Silver Oak.
