Wormy Chestnut Timber Veneer
Wormy Chestnut Timber Veneer – Wormy Chestnut is a blend of (Eucalyptus obliqua, Eucalyptus sieberi & Eucalyptus fastigata). It is not actually a Chestnut tree. It is named for its characteristics. Having deep red gum veins (formed by fire), squiggly worm marks, pin holes and ambrosia beetle markings all combining to create its unique appearance.
You can find these trees growing in Victoria’s East Gippsland region. The colour of this species ranges from ashy brown to a rich chocolate.
