Amoora Timber Veneer

Amoora Timber Veneer – Amoora (Aglaia spectabilis) is native to Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands. It can grow up to 30-40 metres tall and around 1-1.5 metres in diameter. The gorgeous heartwood colour ranges from a pale brown to a dark reddish brown.  Amoora’s grain is generally straight but can also be  interlocked.  It has a slightly course and even texture and bears a resemblance to genuine mahogany, with both species being in the Meliaceae family.

Amoora timber veneer is commonly used in furniture and cabinet making and would look great on your project.

Also known as Aglaia, Bekak, Kato, Thitni, Amari and Goji Nui.
