Beech Timber Veneer

Beech Timber Veneer – Beech (Fagus spp.) grows in the northern temperate regions of Europe, Canada and the United States.  It is also found in parts of Asia, Japan and Northern Africa.  The tree can grow up to 45m in height and around 1 to 1.5m in diameter.  Beech timber veneer is a pale cream to pinkish-brown colour.  There is a conspicuous growth ring figure on rotary cut veneer. When quarter-sawn, there is a characteristic fleck due to its medium sized rays.  It is typically straight grained with a fine, even texture.
