Koto Timber Veneer

Koto Timber Veneer – Koto (Pterygota macrocarpa) grows in West Africa.  It can be found from Liberia through to the Ivory Coast, Ghana, Nigeria and Cameroon.  It grows to a height of 20-30m with a trunk diameter of up to 1.2m.

Koto timber veneer is coloured yellowish-white to cream.  There is little colour variation between the heartwood and sapwood.  The grain is slightly interlocked and the texture is moderately course.  It usually has a high lustre and can be attractively flecked.
