Mansonia Timber Veneer
Mansonia Timber Veneer – Mansonia (Mansonia altissima) is native to Africa. It can be found in Benin, Cameroon, Congo, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Nigeria and Togo. The tree can grow up to 40m tall and up to 1m in diameter.
The heartwood of the Mansonia tree tends to be a yellowish or greyish brown colour. The sapwood is yellow to nearly white in colour and is clearly demarcated from the heartwood. It’s grain is generally straight, though it can occasionally be interlocked. The texture of Mansonia timber veneer is fine to medium and uniform with a slight natural lustre.
