Pacific Maple Timber Veneer

Pacific Maple Timber Veneer – Pacific Maple (Aglaia cacullata) is native to South East Asia and Pacific Islands.  It can grow up to 30m tall with a trunk diameter of up to 1m.

Its colour ranges from a pale brown to a darker reddish brown.  The grain is usually interlocked.  Quartersawn surfaces can exhibit a ribbon-stripe grain pattern. The texture is fine and even and it has a moderate natural lustre.

Pacific Maple Timber Veneer is commonly used in furniture and cabinet making.  It has a pleasant, lingering odour that has been compared to both cedar and camphor laurel.
