Teak Timber Veneer
Teak Timber Veneer – Teak (Tectona grandis) is widely grown on plantations throughout tropical regions of Africa, Asia, and Latin America. It can grow up to 45m in height with a trunk diameter of up to 1.8-2.4m.
The heartwood colour is golden to medium brown, with colour darkening as it ages. It can also have darker, almost black markings.
Teak timber veneer generally has a straight grain. It can occasionally also be wavy or interlocked. It has a course and often uneven texture.
Teak enjoys a well-deserved reputation for its strength and durability. It is popular in furniture and cabinet making, ship and boat building.
